Collection: Handcrafted Gunk Bar Soap

Our handcrafted soap bars are made using natural ingredients.  Did you know that most bars of soap at any given store are not technically soap? If you notice, they’re labeled as cleansing bars or something similar. Unless the product has gone through the traditional soapmaking process of combining lye with fat or oils and water, the FDA doesn't recognize it as soap. Manufacturers are required to label it differently if it has not gone through this process. If you see "beauty bar" or "cleansing bar" it probably uses synthetic ingredients, which makes that product a cosmetic detergent rather than a soap. 

Rest assured, our soap is soap and we use natural ingredients to make them. We offer several scents and will always have a wide variety available, changing our selections around from time to time. So, if you see something you think you may like, you should grab it up, because we may not make that one again for a while. 

Each bar is approximately 5oz-6oz. Each bay is hand-cut, so there may be slight variations in weight and appearance.
